What’s New:

  • Phase 1 Numbers: Assembly has reached 291 structures. Stringing progress includes 37 km of conductor pulled and 25 km of fiber installed and tied in. Foundation work is also moving steadily, with 328 completed.
  • Celebrating Employee Excellence: The construction team presented the Workhorse Award to Tommy Sinclair, Keith Schmidt, and Derek Griffin for restoring camp power after both the main and backup generators failed. Alongside Construction Manager Shane Byrde, they worked after hours to keep 200+ workers safe in –40°C conditions.
  • In the last month, the ESMC started work on DIY dreamcatchers. These dreamcatchers represent Indigenous tradition and cultural storytelling. Dreamcatchers symbolize protection — believed to catch dreams and negative energy while allowing good dreams to pass through.
