Wasoqonatl

Keeping the Light On

The Wasoqonatl Transmission Line is a 345kV interprovincial transmission line spanning 160 kilometres from Onslow, Nova Scotia to Salisbury, New Brunswick, with anticipated completion by the end of 2028. The name Wasoqonatl means “keep light on” and it reflects the project’s purpose: connecting two provinces with clean, reliable electricity that strengthens interprovincial grid resilience and supports the integration of renewable energy for communities across both provinces.

This project is more than infrastructure. It reflects a shared commitment to reliable energy, environmental stewardship, and meaningful Indigenous partnership
