What’s New:
- Phase 1
- Crews continue to survey and prepare sites while following construction and environmental guidelines.
- Most foundations are finished, with only a few remaining.
- Anchoring, tower assembly, and erection are continuing as areas become ready, and stringing work is moving ahead across the line.
- As work continues, crews are restoring access areas.
- Phase 2
- Crews are focused on clearing and preparing access across multiple areas. This includes site cleanup, winter access removal, and early work to manage spring runoff.
- Surveying and site checks are ongoing to support upcoming construction.
- Anchoring activities are starting to increase, with early installations, testing, and inspections underway.
- Tower assembly and erection are still limited at this stage, but crews are in place and preparing for more work as progress continues.
- Valard was invited to participate in the Lakehead University Pow Wow alongside Chi Mino Ozhitoowin. Maggie Kavanaugh attended, supporting relationship-building and connecting with Indigenous communities from across the region. Valard’s participation in career fairs and community events reflects our ongoing commitment to local engagement—strengthening our presence within the community and supporting project recruitment through respectful, authentic connections, with many more opportunities to come.
